The answer will correlate directly with "I take every opportunity I can to fly and stay in hotels for building status" versus "I don't care about status"

I am generally a "Why drive when you can fly person" person because I generally hate driving and would rather be relaxing and letting someone else do the work. I've flown SEA-GEG a couple times and even flew DAY-MSP-GRR once because it was more economical than driving.

But too many factors to provide one answer. Factors include:
-Total travel time in each option & total cost for each option
-Transportation options vs. transportation needs on arrival
-Number of people traveling (more likely to fly if solo but more likely to drive if multiple travelers)
-Time of year/weather factors (i.e. I might drive in summer but fly in winter to avoid driving through a mountain range in winter)
-Work schedule vs. travel schedule (i.e. if I have to work a full day on the same day as traveling, I will prefer to fly afterwards because I don't want to work at my job and then have to still be physically and mentally engaged driving)
-What do we need to bring, including are we bringing our pets (if bringing our pets, driving is the only real option)
