Is this too much of a coincidence ? When I flew GA863 from HKG to CGK on September 27, there was a typhoon immediately south of Hong Kong (but there was no typhoon signal). Instead of flying SOUTH to Jakarta, the plane detoured southeast to Manila, then flew south overland to Borneo, before continuing to Jakarta. One extra hour in the flight time.
Today there is another typhoon south of Hong Kong. GA863 decided to go north into Mainland China, west to northern Vietnam, before flying SOUTH to Jakarta -

On both occasions, CX777 flew southwest to central/southern Vietnam before flying directly south to Jakarta. CX785 from HKG to DPS always flies over South China Sea.
What does this tell us about Garuda pilots or their standard operating procedure ?
AND they cancel all flights to/from HKG even with typhoon signal number 3.
