If it were me, I’d make up the spend as soon as possible. I mean, there are three possibilities, right? One, they automatically revoke the bonus. Two, they don’t care, and you’ll be fine. Neither of those you can do anything about. And three, either they automatically look for makeup spend (seems unlikely), or an actual person reviews the situation and decides in their discretion. In the latter case, showing you’ve made up the spend would at least be a show of good faith.
There is actually the fourth option - which is to eat up the loss about ~$250 and forget about dispute if it is a known policy that disputing will lead to revoke the welcome bonus
. Hence I am looking for some similar experience if reported by someone before
