- not an excuse and basic functionality should not require such an investment, but I have noticed that the worse aspects of the web and app experiences are that they just appear to be getting slower for event basic things (like swapping to/from routes from X -> Y to Y -> X)

I have not even recently checked to see how much space the data for the app consumes on my phone - last time I looked, I think it was many GB....unacceptable.
What phone did you have before the 17?

And I just checked and the United app (4.2.51) is clocking in at a whopping 1.14 GB with the app being 351.8MB and the rest is Documents and Data. I think United should hire some code performance tuners as that seems quite bloated.

By comparison some of my other airline apps are Air Canada (406MB), Lufthansa (361MB), Air France (305MB), SWISS (301MB) and American (247MB).
