t sure why anyone would choose to schlep checked bags from the arrivals hall over to the B check-in area (if it were open) without just dropping them off at the baggage recheck facility.
Of course no one would choose to do that, but it’s not too difficult to walk past the transit bag recheck and find yourself outside of Customs with luggage still in hand.
With inexperienced, elderly travelers, this could easily happen.
Thus the caution extended to them to NOT expect to recheck their bags at Terminal B, as the check in counter is closed down.
