Just curious - what exactly are the legal ramifications for inflight disturbances? I should imagine it varies depending upon the egregiousness of the offense, but I would hope that if either verbal or physical violence are involved, that person would be banned for life from all flights nationwide and even international.
I mean, we've got 340 million people in the US, and even if we're talking a third of them being eligible or potential flyers - there's no shortage of others to fill those seats.
Ban the violent offenders for life. No second strikes. No mitigating circumstances. No excuses for medication reactions. Take the bus, fella.
In theory, it sounds good, but then look how effective the death penalty's been at deterring capital murder.
Thankfully, these events are still relatively rare.
