If you only waited 10 mins at the counter at YVR you did well! I find they are always busy and under-staffed. To make matters worse, they don't employ a lot of technology available at other Stations that could dramatically help smooth things for PC members.
I seem to observe that a lot of the check-outs take a LOOOOONG time there because there's lots of tourist bookings from 3rd party sites and the staff spend an inordinate amount of time trying to up-sell the Insurance coverages.
I used to rent a car at YVR almost automatically but now I really think about if I truly need it and usually just Uber because of the AVIS experience.
