Have completed my stay, so some thoughts. Bottom line: it's fine but a little weird.
Location: just outside the old town, easy walk into Old Town. There's a Hilton Garden Inn being built a few blocks away.

Outside of hotel
Design/maintenance: the hotel opened in 2023, and everything is new and well-maintained
Service: People were generally friendly, especially at breakfast. Diamond status recognized and offered choice of breakfast or bruschetta and two aperol spritzes. Valets/bellhops were helpful and friendly.
Rooms: As a Diamond, was upgraded from King Premium to a King Suite before arrival. The suite, however, is not a suite, and I think is actually worse than other rooms. The suites all face the busy square as opposed to a side street. We were on the first floor, and thus there was no view whatsoever.
Good blackout curtains but some noise throughout the day/night
There are two rooms in the suite, but one of them is just a massive bathroom with a giant tub in the middle. It blocks access to the small closet. Meanwhile, the shower itself is extremely tight

In the main room, there is a couch crammed at the food of the bed in front of a table and chairs, making it hard to walk by.

Bed was comfy. The mini fridge did not actually cool anything.
Food/beverage:
There was a small welcome drink at check in. There's a bar in the lobby with some outside seating. Breakfast was solid. The buffet was decently sized, and you could also choose from a number of made to order options

Amenities:
This is probably where the hotel is most lacking. The hotel advertises a pool and a gym- amenities plainly aimed at the leisure market, and which makes it stand out from the properties located in the more charming Old Town. (Though not from the upcoming Hilton Garden Inn.) From reviews, I knew the pool was not really a pool. It's just a tiny plunge pool open 4 hours a day in the middle of the restaurant- as seen in the breakfast buffet photo.
The gym was laughable, though. I'm used to tiny fitness centers but this was a joke. It's on the mezzanine between floors 0 and 1, and its footprint is the hallway outside the elevator. Indeed, the elevator opens directly into the gym.
The space is small, but the equipment is also lacking. Instead of normal dumbbells, there were these weird leather swing weights. There was a single non-motorized treadmill, a basic exercise bike, and a rower. And that's it.
Gym
It would be better for the hotel not to have a gym at all and avoid the disappointment.
It seemed a lot of the guests were actually on business. To the extent the hotel is trying to be an upscale tourist property, I think it struggles - particularly given that prices are a bit higher than nearby properties.
