Erm.... there is catering - there's a lounge. And as I already pointed out, with more than 24 hours notice (as well as the willingness to do something positive) they could rustle up some grub.

Forgive me for coming up with what I would think are pretty straight forward suggestions on how to try and make some sort of catering available. I am more of a 'can do' person.
There is a very small lounge third party lounge that provides a few snacks. From memory last time I was there, there was a flask with some soup, a bowl of pasta salad, a few bits of processed cheese and some crackers. If you had been there, I don’t think you would suggest that it could have either the facilities or staff to cater for an entire Boeing 777-200ER. And that is before all the other reasons that would prevent any such catering being loaded.

As I have already said, BA gave plenty of warning, told us to eat (at the all inclusive resort they had taken us to, or going to a restaurant and claiming the cost back) before going to the airport and provided vouchers to pick up snacks from the limited catering facilities in the airport before boarding.
