I'll just throw this in here - given the length of the delay which would allow for some 'inventive' planning for the flight, why not contact whoever caters the lounge and pre-order at least enough sandwiches, etc? Seems to me that the problems of storing, allergies, food prep, etc have already been overcome with the use of the lounge caterers, so there is surely scope for them to arrange enough food with over 24 hours notice?
