I wanted to verify my current destination count. Seems like that would be a thing that, if not automatic, at least something JetBlue CSAs would know about.

YMMV, but this is what I found out. Honestly, not much.

I was on the phone for not quite an hour, speaking to a CSA. She was very nice, but it took me probably a half an hour to get her to even understand what I wanted. Not quite sure I ever did, but eventually got transferred to another agent that understood better, and counted (by hand, and wrote them down) my destinations, and was confident I had 20. The agents seemed to think that in 4 to 6 weeks, I would see the miles appear in my account.

The second agent did seem to think that there was nothing weird about any of my trips, and mentioned some things that would have disqualified them but weren’t there. All Blue fairs or above (no Basic), nothing only on points or Paisly (whatever that is), nothing magically gifted to me by a forest nymph.

So, I now have a warm fuzzy that maybe, yes, I have 20 valid destinations. Maybe at the end of November, I’ll have some miles in my account (?), although I have read in this forum that no one has had that happen yet. The consensus was you’d only get them at the end of the year if you didn’t complete a full 25.

I’m not sure the first CSA ever understood what I wanted. She kept telling me not to go to JFK any more, seeming to indicate that since I went there so much, it didn’t count anymore. That wasn’t stressful at all. I was confused. She was confused. The second CSA did understand what I wanted, so hopefully she’s correct.

I am not an East-coaster, so in my case trying for all 25 would probably be silly. However, I am thinking I’ll go on an actual vacation, bringing my wife along this time, to add another city or two for a margin of safety.

BTW, asking for the “loyalty department” elicited no response at all. There is no one running the show, as far as I can tell. I think that this is a feature, not a bug.
