Not my area of expertise, I believe common wisdom is that you will NOT get (double) credit for any of those nights if you check out on February 1. OTOH, if you check out on the 31st, and spend the night of the 31st elsewhere, you should get the double credit.

There’s a fair amount of discussion on the blogs announcing this new offer as to whether or not these double nights will apply to existing card holders (not only to new approvals during the promotional timeframe). I have a vested interest in that question, due to new (repeat/“churning”) approval for this card 7–10 days ago.
I plan to contact both Chase and Hyatt. Not sure if it would be considered a “bonus bump”, we haven’t seen many recent
reports about bonus bump(s).
