Of course it all depends on your budget, fitness and where you are going!
Thanks, I should mention that. Maybe also catching a Grab or Bolt from either station for budget conscious folks like myself.

The only time I ever did the ARL Makkasan to MRT transfer, they’d roped off the typical walkway and I got completely lost. Ended up out in the street and crossing some train tracks because I had no idea where the MRT was. Never thought to look up. I should probably add a map screenshot to show where the stations are in relation to each other. Later I realized if I’d looked up I’d have seen the skywalk and known where to find the MRT. Definitely wasn't on the other side of the street!

It was after dark and I wasn’t happy. Even with only a day pack and an overhead bin carryon it wasn’t a pleasant experience for me. But ARL to Phaya Thai works well for me.

Heading to Bangkok next week and may try to ARL/rideshare hybrid approach to see if it seems viable and worthwhile in practice.

I’m not 100% certain which hotel I’m staying in yet so I don’t know how far of a walk it would be from whatever the terminal station turns out to be.

Maybe I could exit the BTS one station earlier than my final station and take a Grab, since it might be absurdly short to try to book otherwise. Thoughts?
