SR, JR, III and Flight segments that Duplicate or Overlap
Part of our family has Sr's Jr's and IIIs with the same names. Given that the official policy for U.S. passports is to omit these designations, the passport names end up the same.
Around the holidays, they are now getting "We noticed you may have another reservation containing flight segments that duplicate or overlap with this one." emails from UAL. This is for tickets booked by completely different accounts and even agencies (Sr through UAL website and III through parents Expedia account). Some of the tickets go from the local airport to the hub but home to different places.
It seems to be mindless AI Catch 22. Any thoughts / suggestions? Premier Desk says it is 'the system' and nothing they can do about it.
