Due to my messing up a BAH booking, I need.to rebook to do LON-SLC - BA offering as a 'flights only' option a LHR-ORD with 3hr 30 to get connecting AA flight to SLC. I've not done same day connections before entering USA.

Just to check - I disembark, clear customs, collect luggage and recheck for new AA flight?

If inbound flight late, I get rebooked automatically?

Finally, i always get confused, but if I add a car hire at point of booking, before paying - this makes it a BAH booking that attracts £1 = 1tp and payable by deposit?
