yeah, my impression is that cash latitude isn't (very) affected by the loss of R space, so it seems like it's redemption latitude they are shutting down. And not releasing R space even when we're inside the clearance window and it's J9P9 still helps with that (I will get the gate upgrade, instead of that seat going to some non-status latitude redemption person). But this is a weird solution if that's the problem, since it makes the clearance window benefit no benefit at all.
