Is R considered negotiated corporate rate? My long haul flight was J1, and I got the last seat so find it hard to believe it’s discounted business. I'm not aware of any distinction made between regular and negotiated rates with fare classes.
You don't give enough info to determine which way it will post. Is it an AA flight number with a ticket number beginning with 001? If so, then I'm 99% sure it will post as fare and not distance
