on the equipment note, I take 2173 a lot (scheduled to leave BOS at ~4, NYP at ~8:15) and it has been late EVERY SINGLE TIME i've taken it since the next gen rollout. when it was the old trainset it was ofc occasionally late but since the switch to the new one it has been on time arriving in NYP or in WAS exactly zero times. recently we stopped at WIL for 15 mins for "equipment inspection" and then departed, ofc with no announcements of what was up. not comforting and also frustrating to get into WAS at midnight instead of 11:15 (solely from an exhaustion perspective)
