What status do you have with Hilton?
I have twice had it come up where I didn't get go my reservation either at all, or for the first day because of airlines. Calling the Diamond Line, they took care of it for me both times and I wasn't charged then. Although the last time was at least 8 years ago, so things may have changed.
I am just gold, but on pace to hit diamond. I know that won't make a difference. I did just check rates for that night and was able to drop my room rate by $20, so that leads me to believe they aren't full.
