At check-in on September 28, 2025, Lion Air staff denied me boarding, claiming my US emergency passport was not acceptable for travel to Thailand. When I requested written documentation of the denied boarding, staff refused to provide it. My US emergency passport is valid with more than 6 months before expiration. You got denied boarding and that's why they are 'bad'. So it has nothing to do with the airline. On the other hand, if you had emergency passport in June, why in the world would you travel with it 4 months later? Isn't the point of emergency passport just to be able to return to US to get replacement passport?
