I flew Thai Lion domestically and internationally and never had any problems with the airline, flight or ground experience.
At check-in on September 28, 2025, Lion Air staff denied me boarding, claiming my US emergency passport was not acceptable for travel to Thailand. When I requested written documentation of the denied boarding, staff refused to provide it. My US emergency passport is valid with more than 6 months before expiration. My emergency passport contains NO printed restrictions on travel destinations. I successfully entered Thailand using this SAME emergency passport on June 1, 2025. Also Thailand Immigration Bureau accepted my passport and approved my Digital Arrival Card.
