The Atmos™ Visa cards in comparison feel rather uninspired. Like you said, it's a very minor gripe and it doesn't take away anything from the benefits the new Atmos™ Rewards program offers, but they definitely could have done better on the design front IMHO.

I can not quite put my finger on it, but HA seemed to sprinkle a modicum of joy, such as Honolulu Cookie Company shortbreads, on everything. The merger marries together my 2nd/3rd go-to airlines so I am satisfied for now, and the entry benefits or the Summit and Ascent are great given what else is available. But, in comparison to HA, it is merely transactional and doesn't spark joy. I know, first world problem. I am going to guess that when it's anniversary time to downgrade my wife's Summit/upgrade my Ascent, the transaction will be merely pedestrian. Finally, speaking to the esthetics of the two cards, I agree that the Ascent is more pleasing, but only marginally.
