Trip Like I Do? Part 2
Tuesday
Monday was a free day for me. Rained like heck in Boston, so I went to see a couple movies. I had stayed close to the TD Arena, and didn’t realize the Bruins were playing. Almost everyone I saw was wearing a Bruins jersey (they lost). Then almost everyone I saw was standing in line at Mike’s Pastries.
Today, I had my last two flights for a while, and what a doozie. The flight BOS to JFK was late, but even when it arrived, the captain was not there, his flight from JFK delayed. Many panicked people afraid of missing their connections, me among them. I found out that the pilot for my next flight was with me waiting on the current one, so I did not need to worry any more about that one leaving without me. This was after I'd bought an upgrade to Even More to have a better chance of making the connection. JetBlue apparently held a few flights because of the delay of ours. Our flight was over 3 hours delayed. I’ll be getting into ABQ after midnight. But at least I’ll be getting there.
Arriving in ABQ should be my 20th destination, and that’s it for now. I’m going to try to verify my count somehow.
There have been ups and downs, but I think mostly I had fun. It was better when I had a day in a city to explore at least a bit. Got to see a bunch in New York. Not so much in Boston due to weather, but still managed to do a little. The USS Constitution was closed, as were a number of National Monuments or Historic Sites in Boston.
Anyway, those were my trips. JetBlue is a pretty decent airline and most of my flight crews were great.
Safe travels.
