Any suggestions for maximizing my chances of getting an eupgrade?

I am going to Tokyo from Toronto on a Thursday in November 2025. I am a 25K member with 2 co branded credit cards. 2 pax. I could get latitude economy or premium economy and pay cash. I would prefer to go on the direct flight from Toronto to Haneda. At this time I’ve noticed there are a lot of open seats on this Thursday and quite a few Thursdays from now until that day in November 2025 and the Thursday Haneda business class tickets are often amongst the cheapest for a lot of the upcoming Thursdays.

My options are:
1. AC 1 - Toronto to Haneda - Latitude Economy
2. AC 9 - Toronto to Narita - Latitude Economy
3. AC 3 - Toronto to Vancouver to Narita - could do Flexible premium economy or Latitude Economy

Any help would be so much appreciated!
