I fear that this offer is such terribly poor value that the new speculative threads will be along the lines of "when's the next real promo". :P

Personally 6.075k points (as I have no random outdoors brand bookings, or an ability to select such a thing) is a pointless drop in the ocean. There are far better things out there if you really want Marriott points (excluding the 40% points purchases): For example I have promotions in my mobile app tab that include "15k points for a homes & villa stay" or "2 nights at the W Prague for the same 15k"; or "book a vacation flight+hotel for 20k points".

Anyway, I believe the "economy" is the main problem, clearly there is no need to incentivize stays, so we just have to accept that you need no motivations to change your behaviour. I miss my "heads in bed" promos from Marriott Rewards where I got a fairly simple 25 nights = 25k points (or 50k points, depending on whether it was spring or fall)
