I wanted to ensure we had seats together. Seems the system assigned my wife a seat BUT NOT ME. I can see her seat assignment when I start her individual check-in. Called several times, and informed "seating is under airport control, and they will assign at airport check-in"
Seems odd that they would assign my wife a seat, and not me as the account holder.
Now I am worried that maybe flight is oversold, and they gave seats to revenue passengers.
I guess I am out of luck until I get to airport (1.5 hour drive!!!) Anything else I can do or request?
Thx

I get similar errors when travelling with my husband to the USA; he is a U.S. citizen when I am not; he can check-in on his own, but the entire party can't. I can't check-in to the USA half the times when travelling solo despite completed API. I think everything should be OK and you will be checked in at the airport.
Just an update.....long story short.....all documents were A-OK. It turns out the flight was overbooked, and at the airport check-in, after much frustration with agent and no seat or boarding pass, I got the attention of the supervisor, who said that since Biz was overbooked, some Biz would be downgraded to PE, and since we were PE on Avios, not revenue, we were the first to be bumped out to standard Econ, and some econ passengers would ultimately be bumped off. We disappointingly were eventually assigned separate seats in standard econ......
