I know some airlines make more seats available for their own members but isn't awarded availability for partners (for booking with miles by their loyalty programme members) meant to be the same for all partners? If so, is this a known glitch and/or common issue? Asking before I potentially query it with BA's ggl line.
BA's award booking engine has problems with a lot of itineraries I have attempted to look at, I know it 'can' handle connections in theory, but quite often I end up getting the no flights available screen if there's a connection involved. I'd check it on the QR award search instead, they have all partners online now except JL. QR should also have a lower Avios cost than BA, since BA raised the Avios cost of JL and CX awards last year.
For a CX award, if AA has it, then all other OW partners 'should' have it as well, that's not a partner that AA has enhanced availability with.
