Hi,
I made an IB-ONLY award booking online for 2 pax. About 45,000 avios and $165 taxes and fees per pax.

I called in to cancel and the dude told me he can refund the Avios but KEEP all the taxes and fees. I don't get any refund of those. He also said he was doing me a favor b/c I wasn't supposed to get ANY kind of refund. This sounded like BS to me. It's a one-way itin, IB METAL ONLY all the way. It doesn't depart for 6+ months from today. Made the res 3 mos ago.

This is a lie, correct? I expected to pay the $40 cancel fee per pax and get the taxes refunded.

I super pissed and plan to take this as far as I need to including formal EU complaint and we'll go to court if needed. I'm fully disgusted with this airline and can't fathom allowing them to get away with one more bit of their slime.
