I feel like there could probably be a whole thread dedicated to how YUL's expansion over the next decade will affect AC. But at the very least I wanted to share this video in the context of lounges at YUL, as perhaps this is the light at the end of the (10 year long) tunnel?


As far as I know this is the first time these specific plans are public, and they deviate from the master plan somewhat in execution, if not in spirit. Main points are there are two additions being built adjacent to the existing terminal.

One addition where gate 1 lives right now, for a new baggage handling system, and passenger space, including lounges. New domestic MLL hopefully?

And another addition around gate 48-49 that presumably is the tunnel portal to the new satellite building. Looks like a perfect space for a Signature Suite on the upper level.
