Meatloaf is a dish designed to use up indifferent-quality ground meat, often bulked out with even cheaper fillers. In its default form, not a spice nor a vegetable to be seen. I enjoy meatloaf as a comfort food at home or in a diner. However, I agree with you that it seems an odd/cheap choice to be serving in D1. I have never seen meatloaf offered before in business class anywhere in the world that I have been. Having said that, we have multiple pre-order options to choose from when flying D1, so anyone that doesn't like meatloaf can order something else.
