If you're booking multiple rooms with an adult in each room, you could book each room separately in the name an adult occupant, but I suspect you're trying to collect more points in your account by doing it this way. There also could be issues involving special rate plans if you're the only one eligible to use the rate.
Hotels are allowed to (and IMO should) deny elite benefits until the elite guest arrives, or charge for those benefits such as upgrades and lounge access if the elite guest never shows up.
