I don’t see much advantage of gift cards on returns. I just selected store credit on my return that I bought online.

The return is in process, received but not yet credited, but there is a return tracker showing is been received and that I will get an e-gift card.

If they keep track of the e-gift cards in my account, then I don’t lose them. If not, then maybe adding future credits to a physical gift card might have an advantage but that requires going to a store it seems.
