I was in HKG for a quick overnight recently and wanted a Hyatt night so tried this property. In general I had a good stay, though I understand some of the concerns about the property in general.
The location is a bit out of the way. It's not too far from MTR, even with luggage, though with luggage the most annoying part is that you have to schlep up a flight of stairs into the property at the very end, from the driveway outside the convention center lobby. And while it's a bit of a walk, once you make your way inland a bit you're right in Wan Chai, which is a decent part of town to be in. Being farther out of town also allows for some excellent views, at least until things get built that block them.
The Club lounge is good with a solid evening food offering (though I'll admit this was my first time traveling in East Asia since before COVID so I've also forgotten how good it can be). I was also given the option of restaurant breakfast as a Globalist and it was excellent, frankly on par with what I've had in Bangkok (my high-water mark for hotel breakfasts, which I haven't necessarily found other HKG hotels to quite meet).
I was upgraded to a club level harbour view room, and the room itself was nothing too special but comfortable and well maintained. View was outstanding, with a sweeping view of both Central and Kowloon. Club level rooms do require changing to a second elevator on the 30th floor, which is a slight extra hassle.
Gym is good with a variety of weight machines available.
For the right price, and for wanting Hyatt nights, I'd definitely stay again, though for someone not tied to Hyatt I could certainly see preferring other HKG properties, of which there are many good ones.
