I learnt this evening that there are no glasses served on kosher trays. So there you go, problem solved!

Meanwhile, BA677 IST-LHR 18:45, Band 4

Unlike the outbound for breakfast, menus were handed out this evening. Maybe there weren’t enough for yesterday’s 12 rows whereas today’s 9 rows were arguably a little more manageable.

Given that I have had rigatoni coming out of my ears lately, I decided to pre-order a kosher meal as I’ve never tried them before and the pics on here have looked amazing (thank you to everyone for opening my eyes to this after ALL these years!)

The delightful Teresa (IFL) brought it over to me (addressing me by name) whilst we were still on the ground to show me all the seals were still intact (which was impressive in itself) and she said it would be served hot when the meal service started later which was a relief as I wasn’t sure if it would be a hot or a cold dish (and I really didn’t want cold).

Here’s the usual menu for anyone else who’s all prawned or rigatoni’d out, not that you haven’t already seen the July 2025 menu (and we’re now mid-October!)

Wait for it - here’s what was served!

Even the napkin was kosher certified!

Apologies if I didn’t get the photo description of the main but it was teriyaki chicken - odd given the teriyaki starter but honestly, I didn’t care - this was arguably one of the most extraordinarily good meals I have ever had on BA, including First.

If you can’t quite see it, there was also hummus with Melba toast and a chocolate pud with profiteroles. There was even a separate coffee sachet with additional milk sachets and margarine (I hate butter) for the bread rolls.

I was absolutely stuffed but in such a good way.

It must be said that Teresa and Tracy in CE were excellent but BA crew are rarely up for debate.

We departed on time, landed 7-ish minutes early (supposed to be 15 mins early but it was a slow stack) and received lots (and lots) of top ups which was lovely.

G-EUYV (May 2014 plate) with wifi and power and everything worked in CE although I understand the computer in economy didn’t want to play and that slowed down the service behind the curtain.

Overall, an excellent flight, and perhaps even better than yesterday, which in itself was a very hard act to follow. I didn’t even notice any incursions from behind the curtain which was a rare treat.

It’s really unusual - I have absolutely nothing to complain about but to be fair to this company we all love (and with which we sometimes get frustrated), when they get it right, it’s absolutely spot on and 2 days in a row!

Unusually for me, I’m a very happy chappy.

Apart from we were turfed out at C gates, but you can’t win them all.

Happy travels all and thank you to everyone for the collective knowledge and wisdom - we love this community!
