Recycling an old thread but similar issue (although at the fault of Chase and not me). I have several chase cards and frequently consolidate the points to my CSR. Apparently Chase made a mistake on one of my Freedom Flex cards and accidentally credited me approximately 60k points back in May. I didn't realize this happened and just consolidated those points in the CSR and eventually used a good portion of them for hotels and airfare during the summer. A few months later (around September) I notice a big negative balance and "courtesy adjustment" for the 60k on the card. When I called and escalated with Chase to find out why they deducted the 60k they mentioned points were mistakenly debited a few months prior. The rewards activity was no longer available including the original mistake, but I could see the point balance increased significantly from one statement to the next without the expected use. So now I have about -55k points on the card and with the broader changes to the CSR and others am moving much of my spend away from Chase (not due to this mistake but because of overall changes and devaluation). Any idea what Chase will do with the credit sitting on the card for so long (especially since the original mistake was their mistake)? Can I just let the card sit in my sock drawer indefinitely?

Thanks,
Dave
