oura gen 1 was released in mar 2015, gen 2 in Nov 2017, gen 3 in oct 2021, gen 4 in oct 2024. the shortest refresh cycle is 2.67 years, while the longest is 3.92 years. it is unlikely that a gen 5 will arrive before 2027
