just chiming in to say thanks for spawning a nice memory. i proposed to my now-wife just after midnight on jan 1, 2020 from a room (booked for a non-insane number of points!) at the royal orchid sheraton during the icon siam fireworks. it was an impressive celebration for us too. the ROS isn't the "best" bonvoy hotel in bangkok but it is special for us. :-)
