Not sure if to post here or in the Travel Technology forum.

I've downloaded the Grab app onto my iPhone and set up an account and added my travel credit card, did that with my UK SIM card/phone number before going to Malaysia. When I travel there in a few weeks and purchase a local SIM card (landside at KLIA airport) will the Grab app work straight away as number UK phone number will be swapped with a Malaysia phone number? Or will I have to change 'things' in the app? I'll double check it works with the SIM card kiosk assistant, but would be useful to know what to do before then. I'll mostly be needing to use Grab car hailing in Penang and Ipoh to get from my hotels to the trial paths and back again.

What is an estimate of the taxi or Grab fee from the Penang airport to Teluk Bahang (north west corner of Penang Island) so about a 1 hour drive? My flight arrives late at night and the hotel does list a shuttle option but would expect that to have a fee mark-up. I guess Grab cars do not collect where the taxi's can be found outside airport.
