Funnily enough - I had this at JFK for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I was further irritated by returning to the 'First Wing' and getting turned away from any help as I was BA and not AA but that is one for another thread!

I am sure I have got past TSA Pre check before and had my passport check at the gate, so maybe something has changed?
