Ghastly gate staff at LHR

(Pardon my rant but it was my first time on Swiss in years and I was looking forward to it.) Is this typical of Swiss in LHR?

Paid for preferred zone seat 10A on LX345 a few days before the flight. Mainly I wanted to be off the flight ASAP to catch the earliest train possible to next destination.

During OLCI I find I’m now in 27A. Tried to move a few seats forward and was asked to pay. Phoned in, to be told it was in airport control.

At the gate, I politely asked what happened. Unpleasant staff regarded me stonily for a moment, then replied coldly that they don’t know and to contact customer support later. I politely thanked them and put it down to bad luck.

During boarding I was commanded (by one of the same staff I had just spoken with earlier) to check my small carry on due to a “full flight and lack of storage space”. It’s well below the max dimensions. I pleaded nicely that this would further hinder my journey on top off the involuntary seat change. She was having none of it.

On board there was lots of space in the bins. After boarding completed, the bin opposite me was 100% empty!

Not going to choose Swiss again if I can avoid it.
