Looking for Heathrow Excitement [ideas for a 4 yr old adventure]

Tomorrow my four-year-old son and I are getting the train down from Birmingham just to fly from Heathrow to Manchester and then get the train straight back home again. He’s obsessed with planes and airports, and we couldn't think of a better way to spend a father/son day.

Is there anything particularly exciting I can take him to see while at Heathrow? Exciting is always a subjective term — but in our case it means anything that would thrill a four-year-old who loves planes and airports. If we asked nicely do you think they might let us take a peak at the Concorde nose cone? Is there anything similar elsewhere in T5? Any other advice on things to see on our trip?!

(For those worried that Manchester might seem a bit of a lacklustre destination, he’s certainly not short of travel experience. As his fifth birthday is approaching we had to renew his passport last month, and it had already clocked up nineteen trips across five continents.)
