I think you might have it backwards....the worst Wifi in the fleet IME are the early delivery A350s. It's borderline unusable on some flights it's so slow. The 77W wifi by comparison seems considerably faster. I had live news streaming well a few weeks ago to LAX on 77W. Never could imagine that on an early A350 (B-LRA etc.). Just last year I witnessed a passenger meltdown in J as we flew SFO to HKG, berating the flight attendants about terrible Wifi and he should've flown United, on A359. It was one of those early delivery birds.

I seem to think some of the more recent 359s are better but I'm not totally sure. I admit don't know anything about tech or wifi spec stuff, just anecdotes. But I've flown these planes quite a bit! (Especially now that SIn has gotten a lot of A359s the last few years).

I hope ihis change doesn't have a deleterious impact on wifi, but my overriding vibe is good on CX and good for the GO members I think they deserve recognition. I long have thought CX should be more generous to that group to further encourage loyalty. Otherwise incremental benefits over Silver are too small, it's either a necessary stepping stone for early members to progress to Diamond or a black hole of "nothing extra here" for people who legitimately fly more than SL requirements but less than DM. GO could use a few more hard perks, at least that's my view. Seems smart to me.
