Planning effectively for status seems very difficult as we're no longer working in 'rounded up' figure (210, 140, 80 etc) tier point levels. I managed - accidentally - to hit 3,005 tier points in one year haha. But it was easy to plan ahead and know where you'd approximately 'land' at the end of the tier point collection year.
I don't have any future flights booked now but how do people actually do tier point planning now? I don't know if BA flights show nTP's in MMB. As for partners, I'm guessing you have to just wait until the points land....... tools like Great Circle Mapper can be useful but variances in flight distances have happened before.
If you focus your status planning with BA then it can be tricky to work out. If you are flexible then other FFPs might be more helpful. For example, the Finnair + scheme offers tier points based on distance/fare code if you fly with BA, AA and/or Iberia, plus otheOneworld partners. Take a look at the Matt’s Planet explanation video for more details.
