I enjoyed my stay at the Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur - despite it not being perfect in every aspect. Here are my impressions and photos after 2 nights at this property:
Pros:
- Bed was generally comfortable - mattress on the firmer side but still comfortable, plush pillows, covers of fine plushness for climate
- Shower pressure from the rainfall was strong and good
- View towards park and nearby architecture was pleasant
- Lounge had chocolate tart in the afternoon - though, I actually overall preferred the lounge at the HR
- Breakfast offered in restaurant and is really good - delicious fresh roti station with lovely chutney - great eggs Benedict with salmon and lovely charred flavor on the bread (fresh and crispy) - massive selection with breakfast map required so as to not get lost
- Gym open 24 hours
- Offered 4 PM checkout proactively
Neutral:
- Upgrade - only upgraded to Park View - Tower and Deluxe rooms available, but was told all on smoking floors - checked one out and it did smell pretty bad
Cons:
- Noise isolation to hallway and suite next door was poor
I would come back for the right price.
