My overall experience with Gulf Air was great. In flight service was exceptional, onboard food not so much (I had a a special meal and I was served the same food from HYD - BAH and again BAH - JFK). For snack at time of departure I was given really dry / stale sandwiches with no taste.

The 2-2-2 J class seats were very comfortable to sleep in. Like many YouTuber reviews the video selection was limited but there was enough to watch - I picked 4 movies I hadn’t seen before.

The transit hotel - Golden Tulip was an odd experience but did not dampen the overall experience.

I would definitely travel again if it was the cheapest option but skip the layover as there is not much to do in Manama.
