I've put together something like what 925 asked for in the original post. It's not finished - the interface could be nicer, with some more Excel bells and whistles (although I don't want to put in any macros at this point), and the mileage table is not complete. If you download it you'll be able to tell what cities aren't done.

Thanks to that webpage, now I know that at the moment, before taxes, it's cheaper to fly from SBA to AMS (5592 miles) than to LAX (89 miles). And using the excel sheet, it's obvious that Europe is the place to go for a MR right now.
