I got this too and ignored it, but now I need to check a bag (last minute decision to bring stuff to my college student).
So now I am wondering how this is enforced. If I had taken the offer to check the bag, how do they know that I am no longer allocated a carry-on bag?
It's too late for this flight (already paid $52, egads) but just curious.
