Epilogue to this was no upgrade, but at least I had 31C on a 77L so infinite leg room. Could have used some more width though… The SD did introduce herself to all the SE’s which was nice (didn’t happen on my last flight). In talking to her she said there were 4 SE’s in economy. So, yeah, I assume a few did get upgrades and the list makes sense. I guess I just vastly underestimated how many SE’s with premium card that were in comfort or latitude and/or were MM would be on a random flight from Frankfurt on a Thursday. Although I also failed to appreciate that it is Thanksgiving weekend and maybe more people wanting to be home in Canada this weekend compared to an average weekend.
