Hello everyone,

I wanted to hear people's experiences with the Marriott Bonvoy Amex posting date for the 15 elite nights in Year 2 of the card. I opened mine in July 2024 and got the 15 nights shortly after.
As we're now in October 2025, I would have thought the 15 nights for 2025 should have been posted by now. I reached out to Amex via chat and got the most mind blowing answer, which I find impossible to believe.

I was told that "You will receive the 15 Elite Night Credits each calendar year thereafter. Since the card was opened in July 2024, the calendar year starts by January 2026. That is when the 15 elite night credits will be posted". I then got into a 15 minute debate about calendar years and how this makes zero sense as it would mean that I would completely miss out on my 15 elite nights for the Marriott Bonvoy 2025 qualifying period. Surely the 15 nights from 2024 only applied to the period from July to December 2024 and I should receive the full 15 elite night credits for 2025 this year?

Can anyone shed light on this from their experiences? I'm getting nowhere with Amex support.
