Interesting. I did F, on an upgrade, on BA16 SIN-SYD and the service was outstanding. I know they get a longer layover in SIN and both of my crew members were more on the mature side to be out doing wild partying so that may have helped!

But my service in Club on the outbound BA15 LHR-SIN in Club, while not unfriendly, was little more than perfunctory in the main cabin. I talked about it with the crew of BA16 and they thought it was because it was their first leg of their long journey down to SYD and back and they hadn't gelled properly as a team, but would probably have been better on the subsequent journeys.

But who knows! I think a lot comes down to the attitude and leadership of the IFM, as well as how well the crews bond as a team. And whether you get a good IFM or not seems to be pot luck.
